Terms & Conditions

This agreement is entered into by and between you and The CV Studio. By using The CV Studio's services, including purchasing any services or products from the website, you are entering into this Agreement with The CV Studio and indicating that you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. All orders with The CV Studio are subject to our standard terms and conditions including, but not limited to, the following:

Full payment for services is to be made immediately upon placement of order via the website or other channels. Should payment not be made, any services or packages including any discounts offered by The CV Studio will no longer be valid.

An order will not be commenced until full payment is received by The CV Studio.

All prices displayed on this website are in Australian dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of GST where GST applies. Prices may change at any time, but the price shown at the time you place your order is the price that applies to that order.

By processing payment, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions as outlined below:

1. Provide an existing version of your resume (if available) and book an online meeting

Once you have purchased a professional resume your writer will contact you via email or phone asking for a current resume. This will assist us with the initial review stage.

2. Schedule an online meeting

Our writer will then book an online meeting (according to your availability) to discuss your experience in more detail and tailor the resume to your needs. All meetings must be booked within 2 weeks after the payment.

3. Timeframes

Once we have received payment and all of the information and documentation we have requested from you, your writer will aim to email your first draft within seven (7) business days for your review and feedback*. This is an estimate rather than a fixed commitment; if we need additional time, we will let you know and agree a revised delivery date with you.

*If you have an urgent submission request, please note that we will try our best to have that to you within the timeframe, however, we cannot be held liable if you miss your submission date.

All interview coaching sessions and career consultations must be booked and completed within four (4) weeks from the date the order is placed. We will send you a reminder by email before that period expires. The CV Studio reserves the right to offer extensions on this timeframe on a case-by-case basis.

4. Amendments

For seven (7) days from the date your first draft is delivered, your writer will answer any questions and make any changes you request during this time. We ask that you submit your feedback in a single consolidated round so that we can action it efficiently. We are dedicated to providing you with a quality product and the highest level of customer service.

We are happy to make any changes or additions during the one-week review period that you request, however, as the documents are written from a professional Human Resources perspective, they may not always be exactly what you expect. That is why we provide you with this additional week to review the documents and submit any changes or additions you would like made. Our refund position is set out in the Refunds section below.

Amendments cover the refinement of content based on the information you supplied during your consultation. Material new information, a change of target role, industry or career direction, or a rewrite from scratch falls outside the amendment period and will be treated as a new order, quoted separately. The CV Studio reserves the right to decline amendment requests that fall outside this scope or that are made after the review period has expired. Please note: all orders are issued to you in both PDF and Word format to ensure you have access to amend all documentation as required.

To assist in delivering our services, The CV Studio may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools for drafting, editing, formatting and content refinement. All AI-assisted work is reviewed, edited and approved by a professional resume writer before being delivered to clients. By engaging our services, you acknowledge and consent to the use of AI-assisted tools as part of our service delivery.

Where AI tools are used, we take reasonable care to use reputable service providers with appropriate privacy and security measures. Your personal information is used only for the purpose of delivering the services you have requested and is not intentionally submitted for the purpose of training publicly available AI models.

You agree to provide accurate, complete and truthful information, and to respond to requests for information, feedback or meeting availability in a timely manner. Delays in providing requested information will extend the delivery timeframes set out above, and The CV Studio is not responsible for missed application or submission deadlines that result from such delays.

You warrant that any material you supply to us does not infringe the rights of any third party, and that you are entitled to share it with us.

Coaching sessions and consultations may be rescheduled once with at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, or failure to attend a booked session, are treated as delivered and are not transferable. Our refund position is set out in the Refunds section below.

If we need to reschedule a session, we will offer you an alternative time. If no alternative time suits you, we will credit that session for use within the booking period.

If we do not receive the information required to commence or continue an order within 60 days of payment, the order may be closed as complete and no refund will be payable. We may reinstate a closed order at our discretion.

We have a strict no-refund policy. All fees are non-refundable from the time payment is made, whether or not work has commenced, and whether or not you attend booked sessions or use the documents provided. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

If you are unhappy with any aspect of your order, please contact us first so we can work with you to resolve it. Raising a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or payment provider without first contacting us is a breach of these terms. Where a chargeback is found in our favour, you agree to reimburse us for any fees, charges or reasonable costs we incur in responding to it.

On receipt of full payment, we grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive licence to use the final documents delivered to you for your own job-search and professional purposes. The CV Studio retains ownership of its templates, formats, frameworks, methodologies and any underlying materials used to produce them. Our documents, templates and website content may not be resold, redistributed, republished or used to provide competing services.

You grant us permission to retain a copy of your documents for our records and to use de-identified excerpts internally for quality review and the training of our own writers. We do not provide your documents or personal information to third parties for the training of AI models. We will only publish a testimonial or identifiable material with your prior consent.

The CV Studio makes no guarantees regarding interviews or successful job applications.

The CV Studio will not be held liable for any delay or failure in performance resulting directly or indirectly from acts of nature, forces or causes beyond its reasonable control, including without limitation, incorrect email addresses, internet failures, computer equipment failures or other equipment failures.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The CV Studio's total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these terms or the services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including loss of employment, loss of opportunity, loss of income or loss of profits.

Where our services are supplied to you as a consumer under the Australian Consumer Law and a guarantee applies that cannot be excluded, our liability is limited (at our option) to resupplying the services or paying the cost of having the services resupplied.

The documents which will be provided to you by The CV Studio are produced from the information provided by you. Our documents do not contain legal or commercial advice. While every care has been taken to ensure that the content produced is useful and accurate, The CV Studio gives no guarantees, undertakings or warranties in this regard, and does not accept any legal liability or responsibility for the content or the accuracy of the information, or for any loss or damage caused arising directly or indirectly in connection with reliance on the use of such information or documents. It is your sole responsibility to ensure the information you have provided is true, correct and able to be substantiated and that the information provided by you has been properly presented in any documents produced by us. Any errors or omissions brought to the attention of The CV Studio will be corrected as soon as possible.

Any personal information you may provide to The CV Studio is protected by the Privacy Act 1988. We do not, and never will, share client information with any third parties, except when expressly required to do so under law, or where necessary to deliver the services you have requested (for example, secure document storage, email delivery and the AI tools described above), in which case we take reasonable steps to ensure those providers handle your information appropriately.

Documents and files you upload through our website are stored securely and access is restricted to The CV Studio. You may request deletion of your information at any time by emailing us.

The CV Studio may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you place an order applies to that order. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.

If a dispute arises, you agree to contact us first and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve it before commencing any other action. We will respond within a reasonable time and work with you in good faith to reach an outcome. If the matter cannot be resolved between us, either party may pursue the options available to them at law.

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision is severed and the remaining provisions continue in full force. A failure or delay by The CV Studio in enforcing any right under these terms is not a waiver of that right.

These terms, together with the details of your order, form the entire agreement between you and The CV Studio, and replace any prior discussions, representations or understandings. Notices to us must be sent to the email address below, and notices to you will be sent to the email address you provided with your order.
